@anoever: well, I mixed up your problem with something else... I can't either
reproduce what you describe.
I also installed Paint Shop to see if it was not related to their clipboard: no
success. Images copied from external apps are always inserted in reduced format
(when too big for the page) but the ratio is preserved.
Please test this with other extarnal application and use a current OOo version:
