------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Sep 2 17:20:52 +0000 2008 ------- The AutoFilter feature (Extras -- Filter... -- AutoFilter) adds dropdown buttons to the spreadsheet cells. There is no real alternative: using the Standard Filter in the same menu may remove the AutoFilter controls and does not provide enough data fields to show the filter criteria (refer to issue #17995). Proposal: Usually, Alt+CursorDown opens such drop-down menus. In Calc, this key combination is used to resize the current cell. It may make sense to add a context sensitive exception here: * If the cursor is inside a cell with an AutoFilter dropdown, then pressing Alt+CursorDown will open the drop-down. * If the drop-down is open, then pressing Alt+CursorUp will close it.
