I opened "buddy02.svg"with "2.4.1 Multilingual version German UI WIN XP:
[680m17(Build9310)]" DRAW and did not see anything unexpected.

please contribute a clear step by step instruction containing all observations
(error messages ...), every key press and every mouse click (I know app. 10 ways
how to "insert" a SVG image, and what the heck is "a document"?) how to
reproduce the problem, and explain why you believe that your results are
unexpected.
A Screenshot of the damaged image view (may be with comments) might be helpful.
