SBA: Dan, please file another issue for your findings. this one shall not mutate
and your findings need a second look.
Some info needed to track this down could be these:
- After installatin, have a look at Tools-Extension manager: Are there
dictionaries available? If not,the setup did not work properly. Then trx to
install some dict extensions manually and report the outcome (=> Spelling works
but setup does not activaste extensions).
- the next look: Tools-Options-Language settings - Writing aids. Clisk the top
right "Edit" button: There you can switch on and off "parts" of the available
writing aids (spelling, hyphenation and thesaurus, note that not all languages
have all of them.
- Do you have more info about "The system (same machine, same OS)?" Did it ever
work?
