presently testing on OOO300m5 (Build:9350) on linux ubuntu hardy

I should state more precisely now: Media Objects that had been inserted via
"Insert->Movie and Sound" under OOO2.x don't play any more and can cause a
freeze of OOO3.x.

created an empty presentation, inserted three videos(avi and mpg), one on each
page now using: "Insert->Object->Video". (Formerly I had been using
"Insert->Movie and Sound" under OO2.x)

The videos now played in edit mode as well as in presentation mode. So it
doesn't seem to be a problem of video formats under linux.

This way of insertion ("Insert->Object->Video") did not work in earlier versions
of OO2.x so all my previous presentations had the videos inserted via
"Insert->Movie and Sound". This worked in OOO2.x but these linked videos do not
play any more in OOO3 since m22. (Additionally sounds - inserted by this
procedure also don't play any more)

In my opinion this should be fixed for downward compatibility with presentations
created with OOO2.x otherwise older Presentations would have to be reedited to
run under OOO3.x, which may not be possible at all under OOO3.x since some
presentations containing media inserted the old way lead to a freeze of OOO3
which has to be killed then via the process manager.

There is still an Issue, however, with videos inserted under linux ubuntu in
OOO3.x via "Insert->Object->Video". They seem to play only once in presentation
mode. Jumping back to the page containing the video does not result in playing
the video again(even if they had not been played before) - just shows a dead
beige video screen.
Changing into edit mode and back to presentation mode seems to reset this so
they can be played again then.
