I believe there is a tippo in the report, shouldn't it be "hold down CTRL and
click into cell _C_1_?"
I checked with "Ooo 3.0.0 RC1 Multilingual version German UI WIN XP: [OOO300m5
(Build9350)]" and can confirm the reported effect. Seems to be the same with
"2.4.1 Multilingual version German UI WIN XP: [680m17(Build9310)]".
For some operations (search / selection only) the highlighted area seems to work
correctly as selection, but for additional highlighting it works as if there is
no existing highlighting and as if the cell cursor is in cell B1 (for the
example), no matter where the cell cursor "really" is placed.
