At present it is already possible to import svg's using the SVG import extension. This gives 95% accurate imports and it is slow (java?). Even if you don't like OO Draw (which I happen to do) you can quickly and easily make small changes to the imported SVG. It seems to me we are on the last mile to 100% accurate imports.
