I still intend to clean this up but cannot start it for at least the next two weeks. As for how to prepare the patch I'd suggest to do the diff against the tag CWS_DEV300_KASHIDAFIX. What would be even better is to get you commiter rights. You have proven that you know what you are doing. If you are interested in that I'd support you getting commit rights.
