2008 -------
The correct way to "introduce" the Office to the installed JMF is as follows:
Download JMF and install it.
Start the Office, go to tools /options/Openoffice.org/Java.
Click class path, add archive and select the jmf.jar in the JMF2.1.1/lib 
directory. 
Restart the Office.
Now it works for me with OOO300_m7.
