Open Office version: OOO300m5

System: IBM T60, 1 gig of RAM, 1.66 GHz processor.

Steps to reproduce the bug:
1) Open Open Office Impress
2) Insert a table
3) Click on the Table Properties button and then the Font Tab
4) input bar for text size type 1+1
5) Hit the OK button.

The font that was put in was 11 instead of getting an error message, or getting
the size of 2.

I have been able to reproduce this with most symbols (!,@,#,$, and so on) except
for the ., which was used for the decimal point.
