The key combination
Apple-n
should present something new.

I see that for example Apple-t presents a new text document. For other types,
other letters, but
nothing for n.

I recommend:

 * Apple-n to present the Start centre (Welcome to OpenOffice.org).

As Apple-n (command-n, if you prefer) is so well established — so widely
recognised in other
applications — I feel that failing to recognise it in any way will be a fairly
major omission.

Cross reference: Issue 86520.

Thanks for consideration.
Graham
