Launch OOo and open a document - you can either create a new document or open
an existing one.
I've only tried with the spreadsheet and text editor.

>From the OpenOffice.org menu (the one immediately to the right of the Apple
>menu) select Hide
OpenOffice.org

The menu bar and all the windows will briefly disappear, but then the windows
(but not the menu bar)
will quickly reappear, behind the windows of other applications.

This doesn't happen every time, but does happen frequently. It seems that if
it ever stops happening -
that is, if it ever hides properly - then it will always hide properly until
you quit and relaunch the
application.

There are actually four ways to hide an app on Mac OS X - select Hide from its
own application menu,
Control-Click or Right-Click on its icon in the Dock, Option-Click on the
Desktop, or select Hide
Others from some other app's application menu.

In a quick test, all the other ways but the OOo menu Hide item worked
correctly; however I didn't try it
very many times.

This is my first bug report to the OOo QA team. I look forward to filing many
more. :-D
