------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Oct 1 12:34:04 +0000 2008 ------- Write a document in version 2.4.1 with CHIDIST, for example =CHIDIST(A1;50) with cell A1 set to number 49. Save it. Open document in version 3.0, change in A1 cell content to 48. Save document. Open document in version 2.4.1. Notice, the formula has changed to =LEGACY.CHIDIST(A1;50) which is unknown in version 2.4.1 Is it possible to use both namespaces parallel in one table cell content and version 2.4.1 can use it? Then the old name should be added in addition when saving. If that is not possible, than a warning should appear, that the document was generated in 2.4.1 and the user should be asked, whether to save in the old format. The user cannot know by himself, that the document is written with 2.4.1 and therefore will see no need to change the save settings. The other way round, first writing in 3.0 and then opening in 2.4.1 is less critical, because than the 2.4.1 user will get a warning, that the document was written with a newer version. Another solution could be, that documents which were written in 2.4.1 are stored in the old format by default and a warning appears, if the spreadsheet contains something, that doesn't exist in 2.4.1. At least should saving in new format set the document creator type to the new format, so that the 2.4.1 user gets the warning. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
