Little alternative, for those not wanting to switch to another office ;-)
- Cursor in (example) B2,
- n-times Shift-Arrow-Right
- Shft-Ctrl-Space selects the colums.

- Shft-Space selects the rows.
Faily easy, no mouse involvement at all.
