It seems, that this is more a support request than an issue.
If you use 'aCell.String =' you enter a string into the cell and never a number.
How to write formatted numbers into the cell see "StarOffice 8 Programming Guide
for BASIC" http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-0439?a=load chapter "Number,
Date and Text Format".
If you are German (as I guess from your comment), you will get assistant in the
