@hfinger: I added your proposal and a rough estimation of pros/cons to the wiki
site (see link below). If we want to further discuss the topic printing outside
this issue, I would like to invite you to the UX discuss mailing list (UX = User
Experience).

Thanks for having a look at the page - this helps a lot. Here, some comments
from my point-of-view:
> I don't think the alternative of Notes embedded in a bulleted
> list are a problem [...]
The reviewer takes care of both the Notes' content and formatting. This should
be preserved, even when printed out. (E.g. somebody copies some kind of ASCII
table to the Note).

> temporarily increase the para spacing or line spacing [...]
Good idea, but only if people really know that the layout is altered
automatically. Unless we do not have a "Normal" mode like in Word, people might
not be aware of this. And, for overlong Notes we already do have this kind of
behavior - page wise, not paragraph wise (pls refer to the mockups).

> I do not like the idea of repeating a page referred
> to be notes of greater length than the page. [...]
Yes, this is an edge case which is "just" needed for being robust against long
Notes. Most people might never know that this kind of behavior exists, but I'm
open for better proposals. But, I will keep in mind that there is a need for
better recognizability of repeated pages.

> I don't think that there is any particular necessity to preserve the page
formatting next to the notes. [...]
In rare cases yes (possibly this rare case is your standard case). Normally,
users rely on the formatting in WYSIWYG editors.

Thanks for your comments. Bye!
