SBA: An Example for "word choice support" that DOES make sense...
For Chinese and Japanese, the amount of possible characters (several thousand)
brought the need for so-called "Input Method Engines" (note that these tools
have different names on different operating systems).
They require the input of Western letters in order to choose the locale
characters/syllables/words fom an "on-screen selection box" that lists up to 50
characters that match the WESTERN writing of the current syllable.
One reason is that tone height or ~bending as in Chinese language can not be
typed and must be decided via the choice of the character. Similar in Japanese,
where the different writing systems Katakana, Hiragana and Kanji are used even
within one sencence.
Reassigned to requirements.
