2005 -------
- open a database document (.odb) which is read-only
- select "Tables" on the left hand side
- select an arbitrary table in the lower pane
- try to toggle the preview mode
=> not possible, since the respective toolbox item is disabled for readonly DB
documents

This is somewhat unfortunatel:
- You might want to enabled or disable document preview (e.g. for forms), even 
if
  the doc is readonly
- The preview is the only chance to see the document information for forms and
  reports.
- It is inconsistent with other settings (such as column widths in table data
views),
  which normally also modify the DB document, but are nonetheless available
  in readonly documents.
