------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Oct 17 18:07:13 +0000 2008 ------- I'm now confused. I reinstalled 2.4.1, first converting the rpm's using rmp2tgz. The install failed. It seems that the install scripts were run in the wrong order, the newly installed files were deleted. I then reconverted using alien (alien -t -c as root). This worked. With this lead, I reconverted the 3.0 rpms and reinstalled. Now I get different behavior, namely, a popup complaining about missing vcl files.
