Thanks a lot for your explanation. 
but In OOo3.0RC4 On WinXP,I still can not reproduce it(Maybe i don't 
completely understand your meaning about "smart format"). after Smart format, 
if I press CTRL+Z, undo whatever i input just now, both in Calc and MS 2003 
Excel.
steps:
1.type "accross" into a cell in Calc, then press ENTER, AutoCorrect reformats 
it to "across".
2.press CTRL+Z.
result: undo the input content, the cell becomes blank.
