I would say this issue is resolved in 2.0.
The user can assign a shortcut key to a character style. What can happen is the
if the user types in Times New Roman, but needs to switch to Comic Sans to make
a q. They can assign a shortcut key to a character style with comic sans as the
font and then return to default and keep typing.
Not exactly what the user wanted, but probably as close as they are going to
get.
