------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Oct 30 13:16:24 +0000 2008 ------- Shorty after installing OOo3 on my Mac (2Ghz Intel Core Duo with 1GB, Version 10.4.11) the program has crashed without any possibility of re-start exept after a complete system reboot. The problem is reproducible on my computer. I was working on a document initially set up in Pages '08 version 3.0.2 and exported as .doc-file. In order to take over the layout in OpenOffice.org 3.0.0 for Mac, I opened that file in OOo3 and first changed some graphics (initially generated in Adobe Illustrator CS3 and exported from there as jpeg). No problem up to this point. In a second document, I did a bit the same and saved the document as a template. I closed the document and loaded the template. Changing the user interface settings in order to show icons for paragraph settings immediately caused OOo3 to crash completely. The crash diagnosis started normally, both open documents (a spreadsheet and the text document) were automatically recuperated. In the crash reporting dialogue, I was not able to enter any values (keyboard entries were ignored), but clicking on all icons was possible. The spreadsheet and the text window remained opened, the spreadsheed could be saved, but not the text document (inactive icon). Moving frames by mouse, but not adding text by keyboard, was still possible. Restarting OOo3 was impossible, neither by clicking on the dock icon nor by Quicksilver. I had to reboot my Mac. OpenOffice then startet w/o any problem, but reproduced the crash after the exact same change in the user interface in the same template. Now, OOo3 doesn't even close (not even after alt/cmd/esc). I will have to reboot my Mac again after this report. It seems that the file soffice.bin has to do with this issue, as this is the part that doesn't close and appears in the alt/cmd/esc-dialogue. Interestingly, all documents still can be opened (but not saved, and the mouse/keyboard problem still is unchanged) by browsing the unix-file soffice (path: Macintosh HD/Applications/OpenOffice.org/Contents/MacOS/). Thank you for taking care of that issue. If any additional informations are needed, please contact me.
