2005 -------
PC SuSE 9.2 with current patches and updates.
When modifying any spreadsheet socument be it an .XLS or a .SXC file, if it is
located on a fat32 volume, I get the error message stating that "failed to save
backup copy" I can click save as and slightly modify the filename and it willl 
save.
I tested this with linux native file system and find the problem does not exist
