------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Oct 31 05:02:38 +0000 2008 ------- If there is "JobPatchFile" description in the PPD file of a printer, the designated PostScript code by this keyword is emitted twice in the PostScript Job, when printing to CUPS printer. This is caused because OOo processes PPD and emits the designated code and "pstops" of CUPS does the same thing. (e.g. HP Color LaserJet 5500's PPD has a JobPatchFile in it.) For most of the case, this just produces redundant PS code and is harmless, but in some case it causes printer errors (PS error). I propose that when submitting a PS job to CUPS, OOo shouldn't process the JobPatchFile (or any other processes which pstops does). No other Linux applications does this thing. This problem resides in OOo 3.x and also in 2.x (I don't confirm 1.x). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
