Though, OOo ends in infinite loop when trying to use it, for example with File/Wizards/Letter. It happens when the jre/bin/classic/libjvm.so is used. It helps to prefer jre/lib/amd64/classic/libjvm.so. I think that there is a bug in IBM Java itself. On the other hand, the jre/lib/amd64/classic/libjvm.so should be preferred, see http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/javasdk/v6r0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.java.doc.user.zos.60/user/migrating_60.html I'll attach a patch that shuffle the searched patchs in jvmfwk/plugins/sunmajor/pluginlib/otherjre.cxx.
