------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Nov 7 18:01:57 +0000 2008 ------- Start = a Powerpoint (PPT) document with slides with one or more text zones with wrapped text (vertical aspect as zone is narrower than deep). Step 2 = convert PPT into ODP using Ooo 3.0 (Dutch, PC with Windows 2000 Pro); wrapped text zone stays vertical with text wrapped. Step 3 = open this ODP-3 using Ooo 2.0 (on French Asus eee with native OS); text zone turns into 1 horizontal text line with horizontal text extending way beyond left and right borders of slide (= wrapping is gone); presentation is ruined. Step 4 = open the original PPT using Ooo 2.0 (on Asus eee) and convert to a second ODP; wrapped text zone stays vertical with text wrapped. Step 5 = open this ODP-2 on PC using Ooo 3.0; text zone also becomes 1 horizontal text line with horizontal text extending way beyond left and right borders of slide (= wrapping is gone). Conclusion: conversion of PPT with Ooo 3.0 is OK as long as used within Ooo 3.0 but not when used within 2.0 and vice versa; suspect not linked to conversion but to different way of handling text zones in Ooo 3.0 and 2.0. Similar distortions (and various other formatting losses) when opening ODP's previously made in Ooo 2.4.1. Any way around having to use PPT as a basis and doing a double conversion? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
