------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Nov 10 11:04:39 +0000 2008 ------- Keeping it short: Removing write protection (via rightclick in navigator-> Edit Link) allows us to make changes to the sub document from inside the Master Document. However, these changes are not saved. Tried:Open Master Doc, and: 1. Remove write protection, save, close OOo, re-open Master Doc, make changes, save, close OO, open subdoc, (Changes not seen) or re-open Master doc (changes not seen) 2. Remove write protection, save, make changes, save, re-enable write protection, save, close OO, open subdoc (Changes not seen) or re-open Master doc (changes not seen) 3. Remove write protection, save, make changes, save, open subdocument (changes not seen). 4. Remove write protection, save, make changes, save, Right-click subdoc in Navigator -> update selection (Changes disappear) 5. Open Subdoc, remove write protection in master doc, save, make changes, save, Right-click subdoc in Navigator -> update selection (Changes disappear) (no changes to subdoc) Platforms: Ubuntu Hardy (OOo version 2.4) Windows XP Pro (OOo Version 3) Seems like the function is still just a place holder... Would be really nice to have this fixed.
