------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Nov 10 10:07:04 +0000 2008 ------- The cross-references, which reference footnotes, get permanently broken (get pointing to the local equivalent of the string "Error: reference source not found") if their reference source (footnote) is removed, even temporarily (like cut-and-paste). Restoring the reference source (footnote) does not restore the cross-references. The sequence number of the previously referenced footnote is retained, however.
