using 1.9.87
situation : an open presentation with several slides
view slide pane and normal view
when opening the presentation the normal view shows the first slide
clicking (simple, double) on any slide in the slide pane does not change the
normal view to the wanted slide
clicking right on any slide in the slide pane other than the slide shown in the
normal view and selecting "Rename Slide" will always rename the slide shown in
the normal view and not the slide one has clicked on in the slide pane
Actually the only way I found to view a different slide than the first one is
going to the slide sorter, clicking on the wanted slide and going back to the
normal view.
The same thing is true when you start with a new presentation :
create a new presentation, write something on the first slide, click right in
the slide pane, chose "New slide", a new slide is inserted in the slide pane and
even highlighted, but the normal view still shows the old slide. Clicking on the
second slide does not change the view
Rightclicking in the slide pane and choosing "Delete Slide" is deleting the
slide one clicked on. also hide slide is working
Thus basically the slide pane is not useable to change slides or to rename them
in the moment.
