dvo: Oops, my bad.
The outline level is stored internally as 0-based and 1-based in the file
format. This applies to alphabetical AND user indices. This was handled with
issue #i25947#, except that I apparently forgot to handle user-index-marks
during loading. Hence, those index marks were converted to one-based during save
(+1), but the corresponding handling during load (-1) was missing, so the number
was steadily increasing with every save/load cycle. The bizarre thing is that
the change was made in June 2004, and nobody seems to have noticed yet.
dvo->sseppala: Sorry for that, and thanks for the report. The fix should be just
in time for the release... :-)
