I think, I have found the problem ;-)
MS word, under Tools.Options.Track changes, you can define the preferred width
of the Note / Comment balloons. When I change the width in my MS Word 2003 to
e.g. 5 cm (from originally 5,5 cm) the first letter will be cut. It is a display
problem in MS Word...
