This is a brilliant idea idea just because it's yours? Wow!
Before we start redesign from scratch the whole OOo, we have thousands of other
features that really *need* to be implemented.
As UFI said, first discuss this in dedicated board, for example:

And please have a look at:

it explains as watermark what to do to have a chance to get one's feature
implemented.
This one sound pretty unrealistic.
