After additional testing this is what I found:
You solution for duplex printing does work, and I successfully got duplex
output.
This bring up a separate problem - when a document queues to another print
spool, the order of printing is not guaranteed for sequenced printing.
For instance, if I issue print requests in the following order through the API:
Document01 - Printer_Simplex (HP LaserJet 4200 PCL6)
Document02 - Printer_Simplex (HP LaserJet 4200 PCL6)
Document03 - Printer_Simplex (HP LaserJet 4200 PCL6)
Document04 - Printer_Simplex (HP LaserJet 4200 PCL6)
Document05 - Printer_Duplex (HP LaserJet 4200 PCL6 DUPLEX)
Document06 - Printer_Simplex (HP LaserJet 4200 PCL6)
Document07 - Printer_Simplex (HP LaserJet 4200 PCL6)
then that's the order I need them printed on the physical device.
However, they ended up printing this way:
Document01 - Printer_Simplex (HP LaserJet 4200 PCL6)
Document02 - Printer_Simplex (HP LaserJet 4200 PCL6)
Document03 - Printer_Simplex (HP LaserJet 4200 PCL6)
Document04 - Printer_Simplex (HP LaserJet 4200 PCL6)
Document06 - Printer_Simplex (HP LaserJet 4200 PCL6)
Document07 - Printer_Simplex (HP LaserJet 4200 PCL6)
Document05 - Printer_Duplex (HP LaserJet 4200 PCL6 DUPLEX)
Is there a way to coordinate document printing between the spools so they output
in the sequence of request.
