Hi mtrantham
Nobody is forcing you to sort the points to ascending order.
You can ignore the stupid dialog "X axis values must be sorted. Sort them now?".
Just click "No" and it's fine.
I will close this issue, mainly because it is more or less a duplicate of the
(newer) issue 46521 and partly because I cannot confirm the described.
Should you think I misunderstood the problem, feel free to reopen the issue.
