------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Dec 9 03:00:46 +0000 2008 ------- Tested on windows version of open office 300m9 and microsoft office 2007 so the both products have the same set of system fonts available. File created on writer, saved as doc (word 97/2000/xp) and opened in word 2007. Default font setting (first line) in tools/options/oppenoffice.org writer/basic fonts(western) is Default DejaVu Serif;Times New Roman 12 and "current document only" is checked. If I want to get displayed in word/office 2007 correctly a short text with a small font such as (verdana 9) with a link such as http://openoffice.org (of the same size=9 font=verdana) I have to change the default font size (in tools/options/oppenoffice.org writer/basic fonts(western) ) for the whole document from 12 to 9 to enforce the correct font size (in word) of the link equal to the size of the preceeding text. Word2007 ignores the size of link font stored by the writer and for the link size uses the size value of the default/global font settings (font name of default is ignored.) The font setting itself (verdana) for the link is taken correctly from the preceeding text. The way of compatibility from writer to word is broken. Other way arround is OK. The size of the font used in links of a document opened in writer (and created/saved in word) is the same as the size of the font in links in word. This is probably a bug or feature of word of office2007 which affects the openoffice users. I want to be able to decide (in openoffice) whether I want to be compliant with open standards or compliant with non-compliant microsoft products. Is it possible to have a checkbox , which would indicate adherance to microsoft features and which would warn me about non-compatiblity and display parts of the document likely to cause a problem in the microsoft word products ? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
