JA: this possibility is given. Just set the environment variable
SAL_DISABLE_CUPS to a value neq 0 otherwise it will use CUPS if there is a CUPS
daemon running on that system. If CUPS is running then printer configuration is
done within CUPS. Closing as "worksforme".
