I've just experienced it again. Writer recovered my file but it was a much older version of the file from several hours before the crash occurred. Actual document: $ ls -l /home/ldd/Documents/Nyayanusara_Fragments.odt -rw-r--r-- 1 ldd ldd 68148 2008-12-12 10:42 /home/ldd/Documents/Nyayanusara_Fragments.odt But here is what I found: $ find /home/ldd/.openoffice.org -name "Nyaya*" /home/ldd/.openoffice.org/3/user/backup/Nyayanusara_Fragments.odt_1.odt $ ls -l /home/ldd/.openoffice.org/3/user/backup/Nyayanusara_Fragments.odt_0.odt -rw------- 1 ldd ldd 69634 2008-12-12 15:38 /home/ldd/.openoffice.org/3/user/backup/Nyayanusara_Fragments.odt_0.odt If I open this file, the changes up to the crash are present.
