I cannot confirm this issue. I've used an administrative version of OOo3.0,
where I determine the user directory and a OOo3.0de with default installation. I
work on WinXP. I can add a symbol to the already existing symbol set "special",
I can alter a symbol and I can add a symbol to a new defined symbol set. All is
still there after closing and new starting. Of cause the quick starter was
closed too.
