------- Additional comments from [email protected] Wed Dec 17 21:45:52 +0000 2008 ------- I have just checked this out in OSX 10.5.6 (Leopard) and now if I associate OO 3.0 with xls, doc, and ppt, I get icons labeled with XLS, DOC, and PPT. However, if I now associate these with MSOFFICe (word, excel, powerpoint),or neooffice, the icons remain the same. SO I think 10.5.6 is controlling the icon display. This is very apparent when one looks at pdfs, which now display a preview type of icon.
