Thanks for your answers. I'm using the Italian version.
I did exactly the following:
"Salva con nome" ["Save As"]
The "save as " form appeared as following
"Nome file" ["File name"] ...I kept the same...
"Salva come" ["Save as"] ... I kept the same file format, i.e. ODS
spreadsheet...
"Estensione automatica nome file" ["Automatic filename extension"] CHECKED
"Salva con password" ["Save with password"] it was CHECKED and I UNCHECKED it
"Modifica impostazioni filtro" ["Edit filter settings"] GRAYED
Then I clicked on "Salva" ["Save"]
It asked: "...path...\filename.ods esiste già. Sostituirlo?"
["...path...\filename.ods exists already. Overwrite?" I answered Yes
Then I closed the spreadsheet window using the upper right corner "X" button.
When I entered file manager again and double clicked to reload the file, it
asked again for the password.
By the way, if you use "Save As", uncheck the password protection but ALSO
change the file name, it works perfectly. The renamed file has actually no
password. The problem arises when you keep the same name. This suggests a
possible workaround.
