Since you were the Development team member for the 2.0 UI spec for error reporting, http://specs.openoffice.org/appwide/errorreporter/error_report_2_0_ui_specification.odt, you should be an excellent source for developer intentions! However, you should also be aware of the V1 spec, http://porting.openoffice.org/files/documents/14/1154/crash_report_generator_ui_specification_ooo.sxw, since it was referenced repeatedly in the V2 spec. The V1 spec spells out what the user can do, why the user might need to do it, and what the user can expect to see, w/r/t running the crash report generator manually. I presume that the V1 spec is the source of the information which is still in the V3 Help. The V2 spec is silent on this subject. This would seem to be a flaw in that document. The reader is equally entitled to presume that (a) the feature and its UI are gone; (b) the UI will be the same as is given in this document; or even (c) the direct-call UI will be unchanged. Feel free to do as you like with this Issue, from closing it again as invalid, to marking it "P2, Regression, Feature Loss", as I would :-) Meanwhile, the next time the bug I'm chasing bites me, I'll try to force a dump by terminating the process thru Task Manager (any better suggestions greatly appreciated). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
