------- Additional comments from [email protected] Thu Jan 1 16:41:33 +0000 2009 ------- Hello. After installing openoffice 3 on Ubuntu 8.10 ,i have this problem with the writer. Whether i try to open a new document or an existing document, the writer crashes and says that an unexpected error occurred and all my documents will be saved. Then it tries to recover the document and this goes on in circles. I didn't manage to find anything to help me on the Internet. I found something very similar but it was for kubuntu, a kde problem, not a gnome one. (This problem occurres both when i upgrate from Oo 2.0.4 to Oo3, or when i install Oo3 from scratch).
