------- Additional comments from [email protected] Tue Jan 6 14:00:37 +0000 2009 ------- Our issue is - besides others - strongly relevant for using OO Impress as an Rapid E-Learning tool! Rapid e-Learning presentations can easily be a couple of hundred pages long. Therefore, standing out (i.e. coloured) "Beginning of Content" pages are necessary to make sorting the slides easier in the slide overview mode: they clearly mark the "crossing points" between the different content blocks. However, these "Beginning of Content" pages should only be visible in the presentation mode. The appropriate pages should not be "reachable" in the presentation mode. Two identical presentations have been attached to this issue in order to make things clear. The example files have been created in Impress and saved in Impress- and PowerPoint format. The PowerPoint presentation has been preset to the Kiosk Mode (Slide Show > Set Up Show). Please run the presentation of the Impress file in Impress and the PowerPoint file in PowerPoint. PowerPoint: Running the .ppt presentation in PowerPoint with the (preset) Kiosk-Mode, you can only navigate using the navigation buttons, but not with keystrokes or mouse clicks – and you won't be able to "reach" the "Beginning of Content" slides 2, 4 and 6 within the presentation mode. Impress: In Impress you can set up the presentation mode in a way that mouse click-navigation is disabled. However, if you run the .odp prensentation, you can still navigate with keystrokes (left/right) – and will thus see the structuring "Beginning of Content" pages 2, 4 and 6. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
