Thank you for finding this as a duplicate. This bug has been outstanding for
FOUR years. It needs to be fixed in the next minor release of writer. The
results are ugly and truly point to a product that is not being maintained in a
professional way. This error is so annoying that had I seen this bug early on
with writer, I would not have adopted OpenOffice as my choice of software. The
priority of issue 49747 should be raised from P3 to P2.
OpenOffice should make sure that every major release closes ALL repeatable bugs
without exception. Users are more interested in quality of existing software
than new and shiny features. The fact that release 3 carries this bug forward is
not nice at all.
