2) do not use the "Numbering off" button. Use the "Insert unnumbered entry"
button to get the same result as with backspace key.
1) I see the problem. You have to set the tab position in "Format.Bullets and
Numbering.Position" to a value like 0.9". The numbers are getting too wide like
VIII and the given tab position is reached, the next default tab will be taken.
