First, some hints:
- For reporting issues, please first read:
http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/basic_rules.html
- Always report issues for the most recent build. If not a developer build, at
least the last release (current is 3.0, 2.3.1 is far too old)
Now to your problem.
First I couldn't reproduce what you describe in OOo 3.0 on Vista.
Backspace, input with CAPS LOCK works fine even if I set Alt+9 as macro shortcut
for Compose Character.
Second, it's hard to tell if this is a Writer or an extension problem.
Probably it's due to the extension because it only happened after installing it.
It may be a Writer bug which only this extension reveals though...
But the probability of a bug in the extension is bigger.
You've asked ProductivityApps, that's good! See what they say and maybe reopen
this issue I will close as WORKSFORME.
Last comment: when describing an issue, try to keep short sentences in list
format. It's easier to read and saves time ;)
