I tried with OOo on SUSE 10.3 using the native OOo builds (2.4.1 AND 3.0) from
openoffice.org download section.
After opening the attached document, it is no problem to remove the protection
via Format.Sections dialog.
The document is opened correctly by OOo, because the protection is also
available when opening it in MS Word.
