------- Additional comments from [email protected] Mon Jan 19 22:44:19 +0000 2009 ------- Trying to select a scan source or do a scan request crashes on Windows Vista with OOo 3.0, it worked in previous versions. If I launch Writer with administrative privileges then the selection dialog or scanner dialog is shown; this was not needed before. Even as admin, I cannot cancel the scanner dialog any more; the only path to get back to OO is to successfully scan an image. The scanner and drivers (Canon ScanGear CS) have not changed, and I can launch them fine from Irfanview without admin privs. Hence I conclude it is some OO bug. I will attach a .mdmp of the crash. I don't have symbols for soffice.bin, but it is obviously a null pointer.
