I cannot reproduce it (on Vista with 3.0 or m39).
What do you mean with "block"? A crash? A freeze?
The attached movie shows neither a crash nor a freeze: at the end, the document
can be normally closed.
Else, I didn't notice any abnormal CPU activity while pasting.
