It's not possible. You can open files from WebDAV, but you have to connect
remote folder directly in your Mac OS X. Finder -> Go -> Connect to Server. Your
remote folder will be connected and will be available in system file picker too.

If you want to use WebDAV (I assume this from http) directly you have to check
[x] Use OpenOffice.org dialogs in

 - Preferences - OpenOffice.org - General

And than, click on File - Open and write something like
http://my.webdav.com/somewhere/file.odt in Filename field.

Do you know some Mac application, which uses system dialogs and offers this
possibility? If yes, reopen this issue with screenshot of this application and
mark it as ENHANCEMENT, not DEFECT.
